Message to the developers, August 31

31 August 2026

This letter is published at the request of the player community. The site acts as a platform: we publish the letter as is, we are not its author and we do not sign it on our own behalf.

Hello.

Today, August 31, is the day our community chose to demonstrate unity and show how seriously players feel about the current state of the game.

We raised these concerns in advance and asked for several basic improvements that many players have been waiting for a long time. We saw your recent roadmap announcement. Some items overlap with our requests: a VB rework, the return of older items, a review of rewards in older game modes, and improvements to text and the interface. We recognize these as steps in the right direction.

However, we still have not seen meaningful progress on several other key issues that remain unanswered. We want to continue the dialogue and hope to see concrete action, not only promises.

About censorship and community rules

We respectfully ask that community rules be clear, transparent, and enforced consistently. Players should be able to discuss problems with the game, criticize decisions, and organize constructive feedback as long as they are not insulting others, spamming, or violating clearly established rules.

Our intention has never been to attack the developers or moderators. We are discussing problems within the game and trying to represent concerns shared by a significant part of the community.

You previously said you wanted to support open dialogue with players. However, links to ZW Codex were restricted, and mentions of the United Players Coalition were blocked. This makes players question whether open discussion is truly welcome.

Your Discord rules

About your request for feedback

Recently, you posted on Facebook:

“We want to hear your thoughts about the new season. Every comment matters.”
Developers' Facebook post asking for feedback about the new season

We appreciate that, and we would like to expand that dialogue.

Please hold an open conference or Q&A in Discord where the development team can answer questions from the community. We are willing to submit the questions in advance.

We are not demanding instant answers. We are asking for real communication. We are ready for that conversation, and we hope the development team is ready as well.

About server transfers and servers

Many players remember how active and alive their servers were when they first started. Over time, friends leave, activity drops, and many players are left on nearly empty servers.

We noticed your announcement about optimizing server transfer conditions in September. We appreciate that and look forward to seeing the details.

About red robot upgrades

We have learned that you plan to increase the upgrade level of red robots to 5 stars. We believe this is a positive change that players have been requesting for a long time.

We would like to hear more details about how this system will work.

About long-term players

The idea of “If you don’t like it, don’t play” is concerning. We hope this does not reflect the philosophy of the development team.

Veteran players have invested enormous amounts of time and money into this game. A healthy game cannot rely only on attracting new players. It also needs to retain experienced players and build long-term trust.

We are grateful to the players and moderators who spend their personal time helping others understand the game:

Their guides, testing, and support have helped thousands of players. We are also grateful to Igor for providing a platform where the game can be discussed openly.

Community resources are an asset to the game, not an enemy.

The list of gameplay improvements continues

The numbering continues the 32-point list sent earlier.

  1. 33

    VB build codes

Build codes quickly become outdated and do not work properly when shared between ZW-RU servers.

Energy skills from the drone should also be available in VB.

Please take this into consideration as you continue working on VB.

Virtual Battleground dialog: the share code has expired, a new one must be generated
  2. 34

    Notifications

The notification bar should be customizable.

For example, notifications about receiving a Collectible Universal Shard (Red) are not useful to most players.

Please give players the option to disable notifications they do not want to see.

Pop-up notification about receiving a Collectible Universal Shard (Red)
  3. 35

    Languages

You accept purchases from players in Turkey, so please add Turkish language support.

Please also add the other languages that players are requesting.

  4. 36

    Advertisements

The game now includes advertisement blocks that can last up to 120 seconds, including triple-ad blocks, while the Chinese mini-program reportedly uses shorter, single advertisements.

This difference raises questions among players.

We ask you to review this imbalance and provide a fairer advertising experience for all regions.

In-game advertisement: 69 seconds left before the rewardAdvertisement in the Chinese mini-program: reward in 23 seconds

Conclusion

We have seen that a united community voice can make a difference. We appreciate that you have started moving toward some of the changes players have requested.

But some of these improvements have been requested for an entire year, and this is only the first step.

August 31 is the day we are showing that we are serious. We are not canceling the action.

We are waiting for more than promises. We are asking for concrete actions and clear timelines.

We do not want to harm the game. We want the game to become better — for everyone.

Respectfully, United Players Coalition

Discussion and coordination

The letter is written and coordinated by the player community in their own Discord. Edits and suggestions for the list are collected there too.
