Assault Vehicle Link: inheritance and Ascension
Assault Vehicle Link is available from . It gives two things:
- Own characteristics of Assault Vehicle Link: Chaos ATK and Chaos Conversion Rate. They grow with every Ascension.
- Inheritance: Wasteland Tyrant takes away part of the protective characteristics of your other car (in the game it is called the “original”).
What is inherited
Three characteristics of the original vehicle are inherited:
| Characteristics | Where does it come from |
|---|---|
| Arena DMG Reduction (weapon type of original vehicle) | DMG Reduction against a specific weapon on the original vehicle |
| Arena DMG Reduction (general) | common Arena DMG Reduction for the original vehicle |
| Nitro Efficiency | nitro original vehicle |
The weapon type in the first line is determined by the original vehicle, not Wasteland Tyrant. If you bind , there will be DMG Reduction against Assault Rifle, will give DMG Reduction against Sniper Rifle, against Shotgun and so on.
Formula
Inherited value = characteristics of the original vehicle × Inheritance Ratio
- Inheritance Ratio depends only on the level of Assault Vehicle Link, that is, on the number Ascension. It does not depend on what car you have connected.
- Characteristics of the original vehicle depend on its rank. The higher the rank, the more Wasteland Tyrant will receive for the same Inheritance Ratio. You raise the rank of the original vehicle, and the inherited value grows on its own; you don’t need to rebind anything.
Example
Take an Assault Vehicle Link at level 70: Inheritance Ratio 37.5% / 25% / 7.5%. The Original Assault Vehicle is a seasonal one at the "orange +2" rank, with 21% DMG Reduction against Assault Rifle, 10.5% Arena DMG Reduction and 1350 Nitro Efficiency. Wasteland Tyrant gets:
- 21% × 37.5% = 7.88% DMG Reduction against Assault Rifle
- 10.5% × 25% = 2.62% Arena DMG Reduction
- 1350 × 7.5% = 101 Nitro Efficiency
These final numbers are exactly what the game shows in the "Inherited Value" column. There is no need to multiply them by the ratio again.
Which car to choose as the initial one
Any of your unlocked cars will do, except for the starting Pickup Assault Vehicle and the Wasteland Tyrant itself. Since inherited value = stat × Inheritance Ratio, the most profitable machine is the one with the highest defensive stats:
| Original vehicle at red rank | DMG Reduction (anti-weapons) | DMG Reduction (general) | Nitro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seasonal car (Exiled Spike, Silver Lance Knight, Soul Reaper, etc.) | 25% | 12.5% | 1800 |
| Regular car (Forest Rogue, Blue Beast, etc.) | 15% | 10% | 1200 |
These numbers are the same for all seasonal cars of the same rank, and for all regular ones too. They differ only in the type of weapon against which DMG Reduction is given. Therefore, the choice comes down to two questions:
- How much the rank is upgraded. A seasonal car at a high rank is almost always stronger.
- What weapons do you need protection against? Take a car with the type of weapon that is most often found among your opponents in the arena.
The original vehicle does not disappear anywhere: it remains in the garage, and you can drive it as usual. You can also relink another car at any time.
Ascension: where does it go
In short: not a single stat reaches 100%. Assault Vehicle Link has level 201. The “Ascension” button raises the level by 1, at the 201st it disappears.
Ceilings Inheritance Ratio on level 201:
| Characteristics | Start (level 1) | Maximum (level 201) | Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| DMG Reduction (anti-weapons) | 15% | 75% | +3.75% |
| Arena DMG Reduction (general) | 10% | 50% | +2.5% |
| Nitro Efficiency | 0% | 30% | +3.75% |
| Chaos ATK | 0 | 2,640,000 | each level grows |
| Chaos Conversion Rate | 0% | 20% | +0.5% every 5 levels |
The hint in the game "Every 5 breakthroughs increases the inheritance ratio of 1 vehicle stat." works like this: every 5th level increases Inheritance Ratio one stat. They go in a circle of 25 levels:
- Circle level 2: overall arena deduction +2.5%
- 7th: DMG Reduction against weapons +3.75%
- 12th: overall arena deduction +2.5%
- 17th: DMG Reduction against weapons +3.75%
- 22nd: nitro +3.75%
For every 25 Ascension you get +7.5% to DMG Reduction against weapons, +5% to overall DMG Reduction and +3.75% to nitro. The order does not change until the very end. Not a single characteristic hits the ceiling before the others; all three reach their maximums by the last levels.
What this gives in the end: at level 201 with a seasonal car at the red rank, Wasteland Tyrant inherits up to 18.75% DMG Reduction against weapons (25% × 75%), 6.25% of the total DMG Reduction in the arena (12.5% × 50%) and 540 nitro (1800 × 30%).
How much does it cost
Ascension spends Data Linker. With every 20 levels the price increases:
| Levels | Modules for 1 Ascension |
|---|---|
| 1–20 | 2 |
| 21–40 | 4 |
| 41–60 | 6 |
| 61–80 | 8 |
| 81–100 | 10 |
| 101–120 | 12 |
| 121–140 | 14 |
| 141–160 | 16 |
| 161–180 | 20 |
| 181–200 | 24 |
Total from level 1 to level 201: 2320 modules.
Key points (modules are counted from level 1):

| 175 | 1720 | 67.5% | 45% | 26.25% | 2,030,400 | 17% |
| 201 | 2320 | 75% | 50% | 30% | 2,640,000 | 20% |
Chaos ATK and conversion
Chaos ATK and Chaos Conversion Rate belong to Assault Vehicle Link itself and are independent of the original vehicle.
- Chaos ATK is added to the attack directly.
- Chaos Conversion Rate turns part of your basic attack into an additional Chaos ATK. At 20%, every 100 base attack gives another 20 Chaos ATK.
Chaos affects damage in battle, but is not included in combat power. Therefore, Ascension may barely move the combat power number in the profile, although the damage will increase.
Total
- Bind a car with the best defensive stats. This is usually the highest-ranked seasonal vehicle against the weapon type you want.
- Upgrade the rank of the original vehicle: the inherited values increase along with it.
- Ascension goes up to level 201. Ceilings: 75% / 50% / 30%. Nothing reaches 100%, and no stat stops before the others.
- All 200 Ascension cost 2320 Data Linker. Each Ascension also gives a Chaos ATK and a conversion.
