Chinchorro Mummies

Archaeologists have discovered that the Chinchorro learned to make mummies more than 7,000 years ago, thousands of years older than Egypt. Unlike the Egyptians who mummified only the emperors and nobles, the Chinchorro respected and mummified every dead person. They hope to keep the dead by their side in this gentle way and continue to feel the love of their families.
