Ark of the Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant is a cabinet made of acacia wood covered with gold inside and out. Inside are two stone tablets engraved with the Ten Commandments, a budding staff used by Aaron, the brother of Moses, and a pot made of gold. The hidden manna that typifies Christ. On the top of the ark are two angels made of gold—cherubim. The two angels face each other and form a space with their wings. This space represents the place where God is. Where the ark is placed, which place represents With God. In the minds of the Israelites in the Old Testament era, the ark was a symbol of being with God.
