Player Community Improvement Proposal

Below is an open letter published by the player community (United Players Coalition). ZW Codex reproduces it as a community noticeboard and is not its author.

Player Community Improvement Proposal poster

Our goal is not to attack the developers or the game. Most of us are here because we enjoy the game and have invested significant time and, in many cases, money into it.

We are asking for better communication, fairer value, more meaningful gameplay, and greater attention to long standing player feedback. Many players have already expressed growing frustration and are becoming discouraged to the point of considering leaving the game.

The main areas we believe need improvement

  1. 1

Slow down updates and new systems.

Players cannot keep up or properly understand one system before another is introduced.

  2. 2

    Improve translations and explanations.

Game mechanics, technical descriptions, events, and items need clear and accurate explanations in every supported language.

  3. 3

    Make Lost City strategic again.

Improve the difficulty, strategy requirements, and rewards so the mode is challenging and worth playing.

  4. 4

    Make CP meaningful.

CP should better represent actual account strength without replacing strategy, builds, hero combinations, and player knowledge.

  5. 5

    Add counter strategies for 1v1.

PvP should allow players to counter different heroes and builds rather than relying primarily on power.

  6. 6

    Expand permanent content.

Add more TR, Cosmic Cube, Test Works, Campaign, Challenge Mode, and difficult endgame stages that give established players something meaningful to work toward.

  7. 7

Improve existing modes before adding temporary ones.

Expand and improve Guild Defense, Forgotten Realm, VB, Lost City, and other existing content.

  8. 8

    Fix server balance and transfers.

Allow healthier server movement based on overall server strength and consider merging dead or severely underpopulated servers.

  9. 9

    Reduce temporary event overload.

Run fewer major events, give players more opportunities to finish previous event items, and clearly explain mechanics before expecting players to spend.

  10. 10

    Improve event pricing and fairness.

Purchases, coins, rebates, and advertised rewards should properly align so players feel they are receiving fair value for their spending.

  11. 11

    Address regional pricing.

Explain and review major pricing differences between countries, especially when they create significant competitive advantages.

  12. 12

    Give old materials value.

Add a universal salvage, dismantling, exchange, or marketplace system so obsolete and excess inventory continues to have some value.

Developer response

The developers' response to the letter

Reproduced in full, exactly as the developers wrote it.

Thank you for taking the time to compile this thoughtful and constructive proposal. We truly appreciate the passion, care, and dedication that went into this message. We are reading it not as a criticism, but as a sign that you care deeply about the game.

  1. 1

Slowing down updates and new systems

We hear you. We understand that the rapid pace of new systems can be overwhelming, and we are reviewing our release cadence to ensure players have enough time to fully understand and engage with each system before the next one arrives. We will be more mindful of this going forward.

  2. 2

    Improving translations and explanations

We acknowledge that clear and accurate communication is critical. We are actively reviewing our localization processes and working to improve the clarity of in-game descriptions, event rules, and mechanic explanations across all supported languages. This is an ongoing effort, and we will continue to refine it.

  3. 3

    Making Lost City strategic again

We have noted your request for more difficulty, strategic depth, and better rewards in Lost City. This is valuable feedback, and we will take it into serious consideration as we review the mode's future direction.

  4. 4

    Making CP more meaningful

We agree that CP should be a better reflection of overall account strength. We will explore ways to refine how CP is calculated and represented, while ensuring that strategy, hero combinations, and player knowledge remain equally important factors in gameplay.

  5. 5

Adding counter strategies for 1v1 PvP

We understand the desire for more strategic variety in PvP. We will look into ways to introduce greater counter-play dynamics so that battles are less about raw power and more about thoughtful hero selection and tactical decisions.

  6. 6

    Expanding permanent content

We recognize the importance of giving established players long-term goals to work toward. While we are currently focusing on delivering new content (such as the upcoming season update), we also understand the value of expanding permanent features like TR, Cosmic Cube, Test Works, Campaign, Challenge Mode, and endgame stages. We will seriously consider ways to continue expanding these areas in future updates.

  7. 7

Improving existing modes before adding temporary ones

We understand your preference for refining and expanding current content over introducing temporary events. Please know that while updating existing systems can be more complex and resource-intensive, we are taking your feedback seriously and will carefully evaluate improvements to Guild Defense, Forgotten Realm, VB, Lost City, and other core modes.

  8. 8

    Fixing server balance and transfers

We have received your feedback regarding server balance and player transfers. We understand these are important concerns, and we will take them into consideration during our ongoing internal evaluations. However, we are unable to make any specific promises or guarantee any particular changes to transfer policies, server mergers, or related measures at this time. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to listen to the community.

  9. 9

    Reducing temporary event overload

We have already submitted this feedback to our dev team for consideration, the developers will evaluate them based on a large number of player suggestions and the progress of the current game.

  10. 10–11

Improving event pricing and fairness, and addressing regional pricing

Please know that all in-game prices were set according to the USD. We never set different prices in different regions. The price differences you may observe are caused by the following factors:

    • Different currency exchange rates.
    • Different currency exchange rate fluctuations.
    • Different value-added tax fees in different regions.
    • Different policies carried out in certain regions by Google Play or Apple AppStore.

We understand that these differences can feel frustrating, and we will continue to monitor the situation and explore ways to create a fairer experience for players across all regions.

  11. 12

    Giving old materials value

We fully agree that obsolete items should not go to waste. We are exploring systems such as universal salvage, dismantling, exchange, or marketplace mechanics to ensure that excess and outdated inventory can continue to hold value for players. We will share more information as these plans develop.

We are sincerely grateful for the time and energy you have invested in sharing this feedback. The game exists because of players like you, and we are committed to doing better. We cannot solve everything overnight, but we are taking every point raised here seriously and will continue to provide updates as we work through these issues.

Thank you for your patience, your passion, and your trust. We look forward to growing this game together with you.

August 31 — No-Spend Day

As of right now, we are also planning a No Spend Day on August 31 if the developers continue to ignore the community's concerns.

Similar actions have been organized by player communities in other games and have produced meaningful results. The goal is not to hurt the game, but to show the developers that players are serious and want their feedback acknowledged.
