Dear survivors,
After the previous issue of the response desk went out, we received many thoughtful and specific suggestions.
What you care about is not one mode or one item, but whether the game runs smoothly, whether the daily routine gets lighter, whether challenges have a clear goal, and whether everything you put in gives you a better experience.
We have passed all of this feedback to the design team. In this issue we want to report on a new batch of improvements that are already under way.
01
Apocalypse Battlefield: understand it first, then fight
Some commanders told us Apocalypse Battlefield has too many rules and is hard to get into, so we are adding a video tutorial to the mode.
A more direct demonstration should help you grasp the goals, core rules and controls faster, with less time spent working it out by trial and error.
The number of defenders in Apocalypse Battlefield will also be adjusted, so the pace of the challenge and the overall experience feel more reasonable.
02
The game secretary arrives: hand repetitive actions to a helper
"Too many daily actions, please add something to lighten the load" was one of the most frequent requests in your feedback.
This update adds the game secretary. With it, commanders can finish part of their daily, repetitive actions in one tap and keep their time for the combat, progression and challenges they actually want to play.
The secretary will handle:
- •claiming all Perk rewards in one tap;
- •clearing Escape From Testworks challenges quickly;
- •auto-claiming Honor Arena idle rewards;
- •auto-claiming Guild Donation rewards and bargaining with the Guild Merchant;
- •auto-claiming Black Tide Treasure rewards and sending out ordinary Treasure Maps;
- •auto-claiming Doomsday Express truck rewards and dispatching the Doomsday Express in one tap.
We hope this helper frees you from repetitive tapping and makes it easier to plan your time in the game.
03
More one-tap and quick-challenge features to lighten the daily routine
Besides the game secretary, more convenience features will be added over time.
1. Open backpack random chests in one tap
Every random chest in the backpack except Path of Evolution card packs can be used in one tap, up to 2000 at a time.
2. Double speed is remembered
Turn on double speed in a mode, and it switches on automatically the next time you enter the same kind of mode, with no need to set it again.
3. Quick battles in the Arena and Pinnacle Arena
The Arena and Pinnacle Arena get Crush mode. When the conditions are met, you can skip watching the fight and get the result straight away.
4. Quick challenge in Escape From Testworks
Escape From Testworks also gets a quick challenge, so you can get through the daily content faster.
The goal of these changes is simple: fewer unnecessary repeated actions, so you can put your energy into content with real choices, real challenge and real fun.
04
Pinnacle quotas and server transfers get more room
We have had a lot of feedback about there not being enough Pinnacle slots, limits on recruiting newcomers, and wanting to move to a more active server.
This update substantially raises the Pinnacle quota cap.
In addition, after the ranking settles on the 15th and at the end of each month, if a server's Pinnacle or Paragon slots are full, the system will automatically add 1 slot of that kind to the server, until the server's Pinnacle quota cap is reached.
We hope a more reasonable, automatic way of expanding quotas eases the pressure of growing a server, recruiting members and choosing where to transfer.
05
Other improvements and fixes
This update also brings:
- •a fix for the Doomspawn skin's bonus affixes not working in some situations;
- •a new Darktide General perk: clearing or sweeping grants an extra General's Chest;
- •Sweeping Vouchers added to the Guild Shop;
- •a fix for monsters getting stuck in Escape From Testworks.
None of these changes may look earth-shattering on its own, but we believe a better game experience is built up from exactly these details, one at a time.
The topics raised in the previous issue, such as performance, item overflow, expanding older modes, returning items and a fair environment, are still being sorted and worked on.
We will keep gathering your opinions and passing them to the design team as an important reference for future improvements and content changes.
Thank you to every commander who shares real experience and suggestions. The player response desk will not stop at collecting feedback: we want to keep turning what you care about into changes you can see in the game. Please keep the feedback coming!
This is the current direction of work: update timing and content may change as development goes on. Final details will be in the official update announcements.
