Apex Virtual Battleground
A layer on top of the regular battleground: the same floors but far meaner, its own seasonal traits, its own leaderboard and — the point of it — a gamble where you pick the floor to start from.
Apex rules
Apex Virtual Battleground — additional rules
[Harder]: on Apex every floor is far tougher, and the difficulty step between floors is steeper than on the regular battleground.
[New traits]: Apex runs on a new seasonal trait set, and each slot unlocks at an Apex floor count of its own.
[Shared talents]: talent points apply and level up in both modes at once.
[Ranking points]: the Apex weekly ranking counts only your single best run of the week (the regular mode accumulates points instead).
[Gamble]: besides the normal start button you can enter as a gamble — pick a starting floor and hold out for 60 waves, and the run is recorded. Fall short and neither floors nor points count, so judge your power soberly.
[Rewards]: take part in Apex even once this week and the regular leaderboard's 1st-place reward is granted automatically; you then leave the regular leaderboard and compete on the Apex one.
Gambling on a floor
The gamble is the second way in. You name a starting floor and have to survive 60 waves: clear it and the run counts towards your record and the leaderboard, fall short and nothing counts — neither floors nor points.
The starting floor is picked in a window from your record −60 to your record +600. Every skipped floor counts as cleared, so a high gamble banks a big score at once — if you can hold it.
Gamble calculator
Enter your best floor and combat power: the calculator shows the pick window, the recommended floor, the power the target expects 60 waves later, and the points a cleared gamble is worth. The window runs from your record −60 to +600.
Loading the floor table…
A regular run would start at floor 250 and pay 0 points — the gamble adds 0.
